Developmental Disabilities (DD)
The Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waiver in Minnesota is a Medicaid program designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities who require the level of care typically provided in an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (ICF/DD), but who choose to live in their own homes or community settings. The DD Waiver makes it possible for individuals to receive the support they need while remaining connected to their families, communities, and personal goals.

Eligibility
To qualify for the DD Waiver, an individual must:

Have a documented developmental disability or related condition that began before age 22 and is expected to continue indefinitely

Require the level of care provided in an ICF/DD

Be eligible for Medical Assistance (MA)

Choose to receive services in a community-based setting
